H3C was recognized as a Sample Vendor for network firewall and hybrid mesh firewall in the recent "Hype Cycle for Workload and Network Security, 2022" report released by the global research and consulting firm, Gartner.
Being named as a Gartner Hype Cycle Sample Vendor – especially in consecutive years – demonstrates H3C’s growing international reputation. It also reflects the success of the organization’s continuous efforts to embrace new technological innovations and achieve breakthroughs in an extremely challenging and competitive field.
Firewall Technologies are On the Move
The new report provides in-depth analysis of more than 20 technologies related to network firewalls, including firewalls as a service (FWaaS), secure access service edge (SASE), and security service edge (SSE). According to Gartner, the development of network firewall technologies has changed position in its iconic Hype Cycle. There is an increasing trend toward converged platforms in an effort to ensure that security can be delivered in any location.
H3C has actively cultivated the network security market for years. It has taken the lead in developing devices for intrusion prevention system (IPS) with data transmission speeds in excess of 100 Gbps, multiple types of terabit-level distributed firewalls, products related to intrusion prevention and application delivery, and other innovations.
During the past 20 years, H3C has been repeatedly recommended by well-known global advisors, including Gartner, IDC, and Forrester, as well as many professional media outlets, and consistently ranked among the front runners in the network security market. Today, H3C's network security products, services and solutions are widely used in a variety of industries, such as government, education, health, and the Internet. Many of these innovative solutions have helped H3C to win a sizeable share of contracts issued by China's three major telecom operators over the last 13 consecutive years.
