| 【H3C and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Successfully Held the Greater Bay Area Cybersecurity Competition 2023】

| On the morning of June 17, H3C co-hosted with the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) the “Greater Bay Area Cybersecurity Competition 2023. The event aimed to facilitate dialogue between students across the Greater Bay Area in the topic of cybersecurity so to improve their response to related incidents; promote awareness of cyber security operation and maintenance; and to foster a new generation of cyber security professionals to ensure the optimal construction of smart cities. The competition also invited the Chief Information Officer of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Mr. Wong Chi Kwong, Tony, JP, as guest speaker to share the importance and strategic significance of cultivating cyber security talents.

The Greater Bay Area Cybersecurity Competition 2023 Comes to a Successful Close
|
Cyber attackers are improving their craft day by day, meaning enhancing network security should be top priority. As such, H3C and IVE co-hosted the “The Greater Bay Area Cybersecurity Competition 2023” and cybersecurity training.
Fierce Competition for the Winning Titles
Hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), the Competition saw an advisory panel made of H3C’s network security experts, who supervised and assessed the final round of the Competition to ensure fairness and accuracy.
The Competition attracted students from more than 10 universities across the Greater Bay Area. The teams used the H3C Cyber Range platform to complete security operation and maintenance challenges. After 3 hours of fierce competition, a total of 13 teams were selected as the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up and merit award winners.

Cultivating Cybersecurity Talent Remains the Cornerstone of Establishing a Flourishing Digital Economy and Smart City
Philip Yu, General Manager of H3C Hong Kong and Macau said, “New technology is invented every day, so talent development is key to developing this arena. H3C will continue to work with IVE to create a favorable environment and strong support for talent development by offering practical knowledge and skills in the network security industry. Through the sharing of resources and technology, we will develop more practical courses to improve students’ real-life training and increase their competitive edge.”

Greater Bay Area enjoys a superior geographical location and a unique advantage in technological development. The construction and improvement of information network security in the region has strong strategic significance in accelerating the country’s development as a whole. Through the Competition, H3C hopes to foster dialogue between institutions, enterprises and students so to cultivate a new generation of cybersecurity talents, explore a new talent cultivation system, and mitigate the shortage of IT talents in the Greater Bay Area. The Competition also aims to establish a good employment ecosystem and promote the development of information technology in the region.
